about

What do you get when the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come goes to the wrong address? THIS TRACK! This is definitely one that you need headphones in for to get the full effect.

I was looking to make a new Christmas track this year and to turn it on its head a little bit. Personally, my favourite Christmas carol is 'God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen'....I don't know why.

So I approached this one thinking that there was a person who was just getting in to bed, about to go to sleep on Christmas Eve and they start humming "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" just before they nod off in to sleep. But, things start to get a little grim as the night progresses. They start to hear the whispers of something saying "I hear the sleigh bells....I hear the sleigh bells ringing" and the final whisper of, "are you listening?" (All taken from "Walking in a Winter Wonderland") (I'm so clever). As the witching hour approaches and the clock chimes 3am, the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come appears next to the bed and fills the person's head with all of the possible outcomes that their poor life decisions are leading them. The only problem is....it's NOT this person's life! The ghost has gone to the wrong person! As the nightmare comes to an end and the clock strikes 4am, the ghost realises his error....and the night concludes with the ghost breaking his silence and singing, "Fear not then, said the Angel. Let nothing you Affright".
